Congressman Abraham Hamadeh, who represents Arizona and won his seat in the 2024 general election against Gregory Whitten, recently made headlines with a series of social media posts announcing legislative initiatives and an international visit.
On August 10, 2025, Hamadeh’s office posted on Twitter: “NEW

The following day, August 11, 2025, another post addressed voting rights for U.S. citizens living overseas: “NEW

Minutes later on August 11, another tweet praised the work of two team members: “Another great video from @NicoDelgadoAZ and @OliviaStonePR!”.
Hamadeh was elected as Congressman after winning the 2024 general election against Gregory Whitten by a margin of nearly 13 percentage points (56.5% to 43.5%).
UOCAVA refers to the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, which governs absentee voting rights for Americans living abroad or serving in the military. The PROVE Act mentioned in Hamadeh’s post appears intended to address perceived gaps in this legislation regarding residency requirements for overseas voters.
