Congressman Abe Hamadeh has recently addressed several topics on his official social media account, including a meeting with the Arizona Special Olympics delegation and commentary on proposed voting legislation.
On February 12, 2026, Hamadeh shared his experience meeting with representatives from the Arizona Special Olympics during their visit to Washington, D.C. for an annual advocacy event. He stated, “Yesterday, Congressman Hamadeh had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Arizona Special Olympics delegation during their visit to Washington, DC, for Special Olympics International’s annual Capitol Hill Day.”
Later that day, Hamadeh discussed details about a bill concerning voter registration requirements. He wrote on February 12, 2026: “What this bill does is require you to show proof of citizenship and voter ID to register to vote and to stay on the voter rolls. It’s very common-sense legislation that has the support of over 83% of Americans. Usually, it’s hard to get people to agree on something like that.”
In another post dated February 13, 2026, he commented on opposition to the bill: “It’s only controversial because the Democrats are making it controversial. Democrats right now—they can’t win on their own policies. Their policies bring destruction and chaos, and so they’re benefiting from a broken system because we know that there are illegals on the voter”
Abraham Hamadeh was elected in 2024 after defeating Gregory Whitten in the general election by securing approximately 56.5% of the vote compared to Whitten’s 43.5%. This result marked his entry into Congress as a representative from Arizona.
