In a tweet posted on May 15, 2025, Congressman Hamadeh directed a question to Ms. Andrea Yaffe, the Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy. He inquired about potential offensive capabilities that could concern Russia and China: “What wildcard option do we have that keeps the Russians and Chinese up at night in terms of offensive capabilities?”
Later the same day, Congressman Hamadeh posed a question to Major General Stephen Purdy, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration. He asked what single change would be made to space acquisitions if given the power: “If you had the power to make a single change to our space acquisitions, what would that be?”
Additionally, Congressman Hamadeh introduced legislation aimed at renaming a Phoenix post office after Officer Zane Coolidge.
