Debbie Lesko, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, has been actively engaging with her constituents through various events and social media updates. Her recent tweets highlight community interactions and significant developments involving local institutions.
On May 17, 2025, Lesko shared that “Jim Bull from Team Lesko had a wonderful time visiting with the great people from Sun City at a recent Sun City HOA and Recreation Center Orientation meeting.” She expressed gratitude towards SCHOA GM Lisa Gray for her dedication to the community.
The following day, on May 18, 2025, she tweeted about an educational institution facing challenges. She stated “Great news for @gcu! The Biden Administration targeted this Christian University unfairly and unjustly.” This reflects ongoing concerns regarding federal policies impacting local universities.
Later on May 18, Lesko highlighted another community event by tweeting that “Jim Bull from Team Lesko attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for RodTree, a new health and wellness business in Buckeye.” She acknowledged the efforts of those involved in establishing this new venture.
Debbie Lesko was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Before serving in Congress, she was part of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015 and the Arizona Senate from 2015 to 2018. She holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
