In a series of recent tweets, the Office of Congressman Abe Hamadeh addressed various issues concerning national symbols, legislative rights, and military service. The tweets reflect Congressman Hamadeh’s stance on these topics as shared through his official social media platform.
On June 9, 2025, Congressman Abe Hamadeh expressed his observations while walking through the halls of Congress. He noted that “you see all sorts of foreign flags. The LGBTQ flag is displayed on nearly every Democratic congressman’s door.” He interpreted this display as an “allegiance to an ideology, not to the country they swore to represent.”
Later that day, at 20:04 UTC, Congressman Hamadeh clarified that “Congressman Hamadeh’s resolution does not impede his colleagues’ First Amendment rights.” He affirmed that members are free to display flags such as the LGBTQ flag or those of other nations inside their offices but emphasized that “the halls of Congress should proudly display the Red, White,” referring to the American flag.
Further into the evening at 22:04 UTC, Congressman Hamadeh shifted focus towards recognizing military and federal personnel contributions. He stated “Our country is safer due to the sacrifices made by U.S. service members & federal personnel serving along the border.” In acknowledgment of their service, he announced co-sponsorship with Representative Tim Moore for the Border Operations Service Medal Act.
