The Office of Congressman Abe Hamadeh has recently highlighted several issues through its official Twitter account, including the impact of a government shutdown on federal workers, assistance provided to American students abroad, and legislative concerns in Congress.
On March 9, 2026, the office posted about a Transportation Security Administration officer working without pay during the ongoing government shutdown. The tweet read: “Jovan Petkovich, a dedicated TSA officer at Phoenix Sky Harbor, is like so many Americans: stuck working without pay and fed up with the Democrat shutdown.”
The following day, on March 10, 2026, another post described efforts by Congressman Hamadeh’s team to assist students returning from Israel amid regional instability. The tweet stated: “A Very Happy Homecoming! A student group studying in Israel faced unexpected challenges departing the region amid regional tensions. They contacted Congressman Hamadeh’s office to coordinate their safe return. Our team stepped in, worked closely with them and the relevant”.
Later that same day, the office addressed legislative matters regarding congressional action on proposed legislation. The tweet said: “NEW Senate’s Inaction on the Save America Act Cannot Be Ignored Read Congressman Hamadeh’s op-ed for @townhallcom https://t.co/ymxvrS1ySn”.
Abraham Hamadeh was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Gregory Whitten in the general election with 56.5% of the vote compared to Whitten’s 43.5%.
