Congressman Abe Hamadeh, who won his seat in 2024 by defeating Gregory Whitten with 56.5% of the vote, recently highlighted several activities and legislative efforts through posts on his official account.
On July 29, 2025, Hamadeh announced his support for a bipartisan healthcare initiative: “Congressman Hamadeh co-sponsors @RepPatRyanNY’s bipartisan Health Care Fairness for Military Families Act, which extends TRICARE coverage to beneficiaries with adult children under 26 years old, lowering costs and ensuring access for military families.”
The following day, July 30, he shared a visit from a notable constituent: “We had a special guest stop by our district office for constituent services today: Jerry, a 93-year-old veteran who served in the United States Navy during the Korean War! Congressman Hamadeh was honored to meet him and even more honored to have the privilege of representing him”.
Later that same day, Hamadeh expressed gratitude toward local healthcare professionals serving veterans: “Thank you to Dr. Travis Bryant, optometrist at the Thunderbird VA Health Care Clinic, for guiding the Congressman’s District Director, @joshualyons_az, through the optometry process and showcasing the services you provide to our veterans.”
Hamadeh’s focus on military families and veterans is consistent with his campaign platform. After winning election in 2024 against Gregory Whitten by a margin of 208 votes to 160 votes (56.5% to 43.5%), he has continued to highlight constituent engagement and legislative priorities related to veterans’ affairs.
