Congressman Abraham J. Hamadeh of Arizona’s 8th District has publicly condemned a ballistic missile attack by Iran on Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva, Israel. In his statement, he described the attack as “despicable” and highlighted the diverse population of Israel, stating that it includes “Jews, Arabs, Bedouins, Muslims, Druze, and Christians.” He contrasted this with the Iranian regime, which he referred to as a “theocracy run by a crazed Ayatollah.”
Hamadeh emphasized that while Israel targets military sites exclusively, Iran targets civilian sites. He stated that peace in the Middle East requires a nuclear-free Iran and praised former President Donald Trump for achieving peace through the Abraham Accords.
In February, Congressman Hamadeh introduced H.R. 1250 to impose sanctions on officials affiliated with Ansarallah for acts of international terrorism. Additionally, in April, he collaborated with Congressman Brad Schneider to introduce the Promoting Education on the Abraham Accords for Comprehensive Engagement (PEACE) Act. This legislation aims to strengthen U.S. diplomatic engagement by institutionalizing training on normalization agreements at the U.S. State Department.
Hamadeh is committed to President Trump’s Peace Through Strength agenda and supports an America First foreign policy aimed at providing long-term global stability.
