Congressman Abraham J. Hamadeh has achieved numerous successes for Arizona’s military and defense sectors through the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). As the only Arizona member of the House Armed Services Committee, Hamadeh has secured a series of bipartisan victories that benefit both his district and the state.
In collaboration with fellow Arizonans and congressional colleagues, Hamadeh has focused on various issues, including technological investments for warfighters, preserving military history, and addressing financial burdens on service members. “I am grateful to my fellow Arizonans and members of the Arizona Congressional Delegation for their input and support of these monumental achievements for our state,” he stated.
Among the wins are measures related to suicide prevention oversight, leadership at Luke Air Force Base, next-generation body armor research, machine gun transfer regulations, US-Mexico airspace cooperation, reliable air conditioning at Luke AFB, submariner quality of life improvements, and satellite imagery advancements.
Hamadeh’s efforts extend beyond his district to include statewide initiatives such as protecting Ft. Huachuca’s Electronic Proving Ground from staff cuts, saving jobs at Mesa’s Apache helicopter factory, preserving historical jets in Tucson, showcasing test range capabilities, defending water access at Ft. Huachuca, improving safety at Barry M. Goldwater Range, supporting new operations wings at Davis-Monthan AFB, recognizing robotics potential in Arizona, bolstering psychological operations capabilities, expanding refueling fleets for the Air National Guard, countering cross-border tunnel threats with Israel’s help, investing in missile production in Tucson and Phoenix aircraft propulsion development.
Additionally notable are national initiatives like allowing DoD personnel to fly abroad with pets under certain conditions and increasing oversight on military “titling” practices. Other national efforts include security clearance process improvements and extending counter-ISIS partnerships.
Congressman Hamadeh is committed to ensuring these advances reach President Donald J. Trump’s desk as part of a shared commitment to Peace Through Strength.
