Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018 and former member of the Arizona Legislature, has recently commented on national and local issues through a series of social media posts.
On March 11, 2026, Lesko referenced her participation in a congressional field hearing in Phoenix led by Rep. Andy Biggs. She wrote, “ICYMI: I was a witness in the U.S. House Judiciary field hearing in Phoenix, which was led by @RepAndyBiggsAZ last month, to uncover more information about the Melendres case. It’s time to say ‘goodbye’ to the federal monitor.”
Two days later, on March 13, Lesko addressed a violent incident affecting the Jewish community in Michigan. She stated, “Today’s attack in Michigan is another sad reminder of the dangers faced by the American Jewish community. I’m thankful that this evil did not claim the lives of any innocent people. I’m proud to stand with our Jewish friends, and I condemn all forms of antisemitism.”
Later that same day, she expressed gratitude toward law enforcement in Arizona with a brief post: “Thank you @MCSOAZ !”
Lesko was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria at age 64. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and began her political career serving first in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015 before moving to the state Senate from 2015 to 2018.
