Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, posted a series of updates on her X account in mid-August 2025, highlighting local events and educational milestones.
On August 13, Lesko praised the achievements of a major state university: “Arizona State University continues to find ways to innovate and produce exceptional graduates who are uniquely prepared to change the world around us for the better. Good luck to all the students starting another year of college this month!” (August 13, 2025).
Later that day, she made a brief post stating: “Revealing email….” (August 13, 2025).
The following day, Lesko shared news about a local event involving her staff and municipal leaders: “Jim Bull from Team Lesko attended the recent ribbon-cutting for the Refresh Room in Goodyear. Councilwoman Wally Campbell was also at the event – always working hard for her constituents! Welcome to Maricopa County.” (August 14, 2025).
Lesko has been active in Arizona politics since serving in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015 and later in the Arizona Senate until her election to Congress. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently residing in Peoria at age 64, she holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
