Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018 and a former member of the Arizona House and Senate, posted a series of updates on social media about recent developments involving local governance and community engagement.
On February 25, 2026, Lesko highlighted a budget decision by county officials: “Did you know the Board of Supervisors approved a $550,000 budget request from @azjustinheap today?”
The following day, she commented further on collaboration between government entities: “Once again, the Board of Supervisors shows it is trying to work with @azjustinheap for the benefit of our shared voters.” This statement emphasized ongoing efforts between the Board and Supervisor Justin Heap.
On February 26, Lesko also noted her participation in a regional event: “It was great to attend the West Valley Mayors and Managers breakfast in Youngtown to talk about the latest issues affecting our communities. We are all committed to making the West Valley the BEST Valley!”
Lesko has represented Arizona’s 8th Congressional District since 2018 after serving in both chambers of Arizona’s state legislature. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Lesko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
