Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, posted a series of updates on her Twitter account regarding community events and local governance between May 29 and May 30, 2026.

On May 29, Lesko shared her participation in a roundtable event with Rep. Andy Biggs and ONDCP Director Sara Carter, stating, “I was privileged to join @RepAndyBiggsAZ & @ONDCP Director @SaraCarterDC at a roundtable to hear the tragic stories of angel families who lost loved ones from the open border & war on drugs. May we always remember our motivation to secure our border & apprehend deadly substances.”

Later that day, she highlighted Team Lesko’s involvement in a local event: “Jim Bull from Team Lesko had the recent privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Rest Recovery Wellness North Phoenix in Peoria. Welcome to the West Valley!”

On May 30, Lesko addressed ongoing challenges related to election administration in her district, posting, “I am once again disappointed that Recorder Heap turns to the court instead of meeting with the Board of Supervisors to resolve our differences in order to run the upcoming elections. It’s been 9 days since our last invite to meet and we still haven’t heard back from him.”

Lesko has served as Arizona’s 8th District representative since 2018 after previous terms in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Lesko holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
