Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, recently shared updates on her official Twitter account highlighting local community events and expressing condolences for a constituent’s family.
On May 6, 2026, Lesko posted about a community event: “It was a privilege to attend the ribbon-cutting for the addition to the El Mirage Library Learning Center. I hope that the individuals who walk through this space receive priceless benefits from learning.”
A day later, on May 7, she offered sympathies in a separate message: “My condolences and prayers to Dick’s wife Francie and their family.”
Later that same day, Lesko acknowledged an academic achievement by a student in her district: “I was pleased to congratulate our district’s very own Veronica Rodriguez, who won the America250 High School Essay Contest for High School. Her piece, ‘More Than A Dream’ was extremely inspiring and made me feel proud of our great nation.”
Lesko has served in Congress since 2018 after previously holding positions in both chambers of the Arizona legislature. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and resides in Peoria. Lesko holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
