Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, recently shared several posts on social media highlighting local sports and national observances.
On August 30, 2025, Lesko expressed support for Arizona State University’s football team as they began their new season. She wrote, “Good luck to Coach @KennyDillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils Football Team with the start of the new season tonight! We can’t wait to watch this season unfold toward another Big12 Championship run. #GoDevils https://t.co/78IDcXO5F4”.
Later that evening, on August 31, 2025, Lesko posted a brief message of gratitude directed at U.S. Customs and Border Protection and President Joe Biden: “Thank you @CBP and @POTUS ! https://t.co/FxVjFk7CJg”.
On September 2, 2025, in recognition of Labor Day, she acknowledged workers across the country: “Happy Labor Day! Thank you to all the men and women who diligently work in our communities and help our economy run smoothly. We appreciate your efforts!”
Lesko has been active in Arizona politics for over a decade. Before her tenure in Congress began in 2018, she served in both chambers of the state legislature from 2009 to 2018. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958, Lesko is currently a resident of Peoria and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
