Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, shared updates on her recent activities and reflections on social media, highlighting both local governmental collaboration and national scientific endeavors.
On April 1, 2026, Lesko posted about organizing a meeting between state legislators and county officials: “I was honored to organize a working lunch between state legislators and Maricopa County Supervisors today at the Arizona Capitol. It’s important that we have a good relationship with state legislators, because what they do often affects our county.” (April 1, 2026)
Later the same day, she commented on her experiences related to NASA’s Artemis program: “Thankful I had the opportunity to visit NASA during my time in Congress while they were building Artemis!” (April 1, 2026). In a subsequent post, she added: “I visited NASA while in Congress to see Artemis rocket being built. Looking forward to the launch today!” (April 1, 2026).
Lesko has served in Congress since winning election in 2018 after previous roles in both chambers of the Arizona legislature. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Lesko holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
