Debbie Lesko, U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, recently highlighted her involvement in issues affecting seniors and energy policy through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On August 21, 2025, Lesko expressed gratitude to former President Donald Trump for his actions regarding Social Security: “THANK YOU, President @realDonaldTrump, for your efforts to reduce taxes for those on Social Security and improve efficiency within the agency. Our senior citizens appreciate these actions!”
The following day, August 22, 2025, she shared her participation in a community event: “I attended a ribbon cutting for the Cox Innovation Lab in the Banner Olive Branch Senior Center. The innovation lab provides instruction for seniors on how to use the Internet safely & avoid scams and other threats. Thank you for having me & for your work in our communities!”
On August 24, 2025, Lesko commented on recent developments within Arizona’s Corporation Commission: “Thank you, Commissioners Kevin Thompson and Nick Myers – and the other Republicans – for voting to eliminate unnecessary renewable energy mandates in Arizona! The Republican-led Corporation Commission is working hard for the people of our great state.”
Lesko has represented Arizona’s 8th District in Congress since 2018 after previously serving in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature from 2009 to 2018. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Lesko holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
