U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, who represents Arizona’s 8th District, posted a series of messages on social media between July 21 and July 23, 2025, expressing appreciation for local law enforcement officers and firefighters.
On July 21, Lesko thanked law enforcement personnel in a public statement: “Thank you to the brave men and women who are keeping our streets safe. We appreciate these law enforcement officers and the work they do in our communities.”
The following day, she specifically commended local police: “Glendale Police Officers are among the best in the nation, and they are working hard to keep our neighborhoods and schools safe from those with wrong intentions.” This message highlighted her support for Glendale’s police force.
On July 23, as high temperatures continued across Arizona, Lesko shifted focus to fire safety: “It’s another hot summer in Arizona, which is a reminder of the dangerous fires that engulf massive parts of our state. Thank you to the firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect communities and valuable land from being consumed by the fires.”
Debbie Lesko has served in Congress since 2018 after previous roles in both chambers of Arizona’s legislature. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. Lesko earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
