Debbie Lesko, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, recently shared several updates on social media regarding significant political events and election preparations in her state. Lesko, who has also served in both chambers of the Arizona legislature and holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, addressed topics ranging from national security concerns to local election integrity.
On July 13, 2025, Lesko reflected on the anniversary of an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. She stated, “One year ago, America recoiled in horror as a gunman tried to end the life of the past & future President of the United States. We are still so grateful & relieved President @realDonaldTrump survived this assassination attempt. God was watching over President Trump & our country!”
The following day, July 14, 2025, Lesko discussed her recent visit to Maricopa County’s tabulation and election center ahead of a special contest in Congressional District 7. She wrote, “My team and I recently toured the Maricopa Co. tabulation & election center in advance of Election Day for the special contest in Congressional District 7. I’m proud of all our dedicated employees and political party observers who are working to ensure a secure & smooth election.”
On July 15, 2025, Lesko highlighted her engagement with poll workers during their training session in Goodyear. She commented, “I had the privilege of addressing poll workers at their training session in Goodyear last week, thanking them for their service and reminding them of the importance of their work. We appreciate all these men and women!”
Debbie Lesko was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria.
