Debbie Lesko, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Arizona’s 8th District since 2018, shared several updates on social media recently. Lesko, who has also served in the Arizona House of Representatives and Senate, posted about local developments and investments in community infrastructure.
On June 20, 2025, Lesko noted that Jim Bull from Team Lesko attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Credit Union West in Peoria. She welcomed the new establishment to the city with the post: “Jim Bull from Team Lesko attended the recent ribbon cutting for Credit Union West in Peoria. Welcome to the city!”
The following day, June 21, 2025, she emphasized the broader benefits of investing in open spaces and recreational areas. In her tweet, she stated: “When we invest in open space, parks, and trails, we’re not just creating places to play; we are laying the foundation for great schools, good jobs, safe neighborhoods, and the kind of growth people want.”
Additionally on June 21st, she highlighted an agreement approved by the Board of Supervisors with the City of Surprise to create a regional park within the McMicken Dam impoundment area. Her post read: “Last month, the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with the City of Surprise for the creation of a regional park within the McMicken Dam impoundment area.”
Lesko was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1958 and currently resides in Peoria. She holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
