Former Mountain Ridge High School standout Matthew Martinez played on Friday, June 6 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship

On Friday, June 6, former Mountain Ridge High School standout Matthew Martinez’s current collegiate team the Arizona Wildcats won 2-18 against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Cary C. Boshamer Stadium at 12:05 p.m. and was the first matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the tournament.

The Arizona Wildcats’ next game will take place on Saturday, June 7 at 12:05 p.m. at Cary C. Boshamer Stadium.
