Lindsay Bray has been recognized by the Glendale Union High School District Governing Board for her 25 years of service at Cortez High School. Over her career, Bray has held various instructional and leadership positions. She spent 23 years teaching English at different levels and worked on literacy development through programs such as Read 180 and summer school credit recovery. She also supervised Title I for five years, organized freshman transition initiatives, supported ACT tutoring, and acted as a Wellness Champion.

In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Bray has coached softball, volleyball, and cheerleading. She sponsored the freshman and sophomore student councils, helping students develop leadership skills and confidence. Her willingness to take on new roles demonstrates adaptability and a strong sense of service.

Currently, Bray teaches Girls’ Physical Education and Advanced PE. She focuses on promoting physical activity, nutrition, and wellness among students. Throughout her time at Cortez High School, she has prioritized building trust with students and supporting their academic and personal growth.

The Glendale Union High School District acknowledged that reaching 25 years of service is both a mark of longevity and significant influence. According to the district, “Lindsay Bray’s dedication has shaped generations of students, strengthened programs, and contributed to the enduring spirit of Cortez High School.” The district commended her commitment and leadership as part of the school’s ongoing legacy.
