Glendale Union High School District will hold a Community Resource Day at Moon Valley High School on Tuesday, February 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event aims to support students in special education and their families as they prepare for life after high school.
Community Resource Day is organized to help families learn about the programs, services, and resources available to students after graduation. Representatives from several community agencies will be present to provide information, answer questions, and offer guidance on next steps. Organizations such as the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Glendale Community College’s Disability Resource Center will participate alongside other local partners focused on supporting students with disabilities.
According to the district, “Community Resource Day provides families with a valuable opportunity to connect directly with service providers, learn about transition planning, and gain insight into postsecondary education, employment, and support services. These conversations can play a critical role in helping students successfully transition beyond high school.”
Families are encouraged by organizers to attend this free event so they can build connections with service providers, ask questions, and access information that may help them support their student’s future success.
