It is time for students and families to prepare for the upcoming school year. Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) will host Student Walk-Through Registration and Orientation from July 21 to July 25. This event aims to help participants get ready for the first day of school on August 4.
Each GUHSD campus has its own schedule for the walk-through registration, so it is essential to check individual school websites for specific dates and times. Many schools organize attendance based on the first letter of a student’s last name, making it important to follow campus-specific instructions.
During this registration period, students will have their school ID photos taken, update or complete enrollment forms—particularly crucial for new students—and bring immunization records. They can also address questions about transportation, learn how to join sports and clubs, and reconnect with friends and classmates.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany their students. They will have opportunities to sign up for ParentSquare for school updates, register for ParentVUE to monitor grades and assignments, complete applications for free or reduced meals, meet staff members, and ask questions.
The walk-through registration is more than just a formality; it helps ensure that students and families start the school year smoothly. For more information about your school’s registration schedule and checklist, visit your school’s website.
