Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) is encouraging Arizona residents to participate in the state’s Public School Tax Credit program. The initiative allows individuals to contribute funds directly to GUHSD schools, with the contributions going toward extracurricular activities, student meal programs, healthcare and wellness supplies, and other programs that help ensure all students can participate regardless of financial barriers.

According to the district, anyone living in Arizona can take part in this program. Donors do not need to have a student enrolled in GUHSD to be eligible. Contributions result in a dollar-for-dollar credit on Arizona state taxes—up to $400 for married couples filing jointly and up to $200 for single taxpayers or heads of household.

The deadline for making tax credit contributions is April 15. All contributions are nonrefundable and can be directed either to a specific GUHSD school or made online through the district’s Tax Credit Opportunity portal.

In its announcement, GUHSD emphasized the importance of community support: “Your contribution helps ensure that every GUHSD student has the opportunity to participate in meaningful, life-enhancing activities. From athletics and arts programs to school meal initiatives and wellness supplies, your support directly strengthens the school experience for thousands of students across the district.”

The district also stated: “It’s more than a donation; it’s an investment in our community, our schools, and our students.”

For more information or to make a contribution online, interested parties can visit the Tax Credit Opportunity page on the district’s website.
