Grand Canyon University is set to launch its fall 2025 Chapel series at the Global Credit Union Arena with a focus on the “Hall of Faith” theme, inspired by Hebrews 11. This theme will highlight biblical figures known for their faith in God.
Brian Mueller, the university president, will lead the first service on September 8. Entering his 17th year as president, Mueller has previously encouraged students to consider bivocational paths to address pastoral shortages in smaller congregations.
University Pastor Dr. Tim Griffin, who also serves as dean of students and vice president of Student Affairs, is scheduled to lead Chapel on September 15. In past sessions, Griffin has urged students to take time for worship amid their academic pursuits.
Several pastors are slated to return for this year’s Chapel series. Sean Myers from Pella Community Church will speak on September 22, focusing on righteousness and satisfaction. Des Wadsworth from Grace Community Church will address attendees on October 20 with references to Matthew 7:7-8 about seeking divine guidance.
Noe Garcia from North Phoenix Baptist Church will lead Chapel on October 27. He has previously spoken about forgiveness and moving forward from grievances.
Other returning speakers include Brian Kruckenberg from New City Church and GCU alumnus Nick Ely from Christ Church. Kruckenberg’s session is scheduled for October 13 while Ely will speak on November 17.
Ashley Wooldridge of Christ’s Church of the Valley is set to speak on October 6 about following God’s plan over negative thoughts. Dr. Jeff Dyer from Heartfire Missions returns after a three-year hiatus to discuss missions’ importance on September 29.
Jamie Rasmussen of Scottsdale Bible Church will take the stage on November 3, discussing hard work and humility. Worship leader Mack Brock is scheduled for November 10.
The series concludes with an online service on November 24 followed by a Christmas Chapel at the arena on December 1.
