On Tuesday, Congressman Abe Hamadeh from Arizona’s 8th District sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, urging an investigation into Runbeck Election Services. The call for inquiry focuses on claims of protocol breaches during the 2024 General Election in Arizona.
Congressman Hamadeh’s letter highlights concerns over the handling of ballots by Runbeck Election Services. Reports suggest that boxes containing printed blank ballots from several western states were improperly mixed with returned voted mail ballots awaiting tabulation.
“This alarming situation raises serious questions about the security and integrity of the election process in Maricopa County and potentially beyond,” stated Congressman Hamadeh. He emphasized the importance of ensuring confidence in election integrity and called for any potential mishandling to be investigated thoroughly.
The Congressman seeks an examination into various aspects including:
1) The circumstances around mixing blank ballots with voted ones at the Runbeck warehouse.
2) Security measures in place and their adherence.
3) Potential impacts on election result accuracy in Maricopa County and other areas.
4) Any additional factors compromising 2024 election integrity.
Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel revealed that documents have been turned over to Senator Chuck Grassley regarding an intelligence report accusing China of producing fake U.S. driver’s licenses to influence the 2020 election through fake mail-in ballots favoring President Joe Biden.
“We have known for years that our election processes in Arizona are flawed,” said Congressman Hamadeh. He stressed the need for Department of Justice investigations into credible allegations to restore full integrity to elections.
As part of his commitment, Congressman Hamadeh has introduced several legislative measures, including the Preventing Ranked Choice Corruption Act, Voting Only Through English Act (VOTE ACT), and legislation codifying Executive Order 14248 titled Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.
