Jake Hoffman, a Republican member of the Arizona State Senate representing the 15th District since 2023, has made several public statements on social media regarding internal disputes within the Arizona GOP.

The following day, on August 20, 2025, Hoffman issued a direct call for leadership change in the state party. Later that same day, he commented further on party leadership standards: “No, It speaks to you have to actually act like a Republican to lead the Republican Party. https://t.co/33S4McERRL”
These statements reflect ongoing tensions within the Arizona Republican Party over its direction and leadership. Hoffman succeeded Nancy K. Barto in representing District 15 after being elected to the state senate in 2023.
