Jake Hoffman, a Republican state senator representing Arizona’s 15th Senate District since 2023, has used social media to express his criticism of Governor Katie Hobbs’ recent decision regarding a memorial license plate bill.
On March 7, 2026, Hoffman posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the veto by Governor Hobbs: “Arizona Democrat Katie Hobbs VETOED the Charlie Kirk Memorial License Plate bill today. My statement on her veto Katie Hobbs’ grotesque partisanship knows no bounds. Even in the wake of a global civil rights leader — an Arizona resident and her own constituent — being”.
Two days later, on March 9, 2026, Hoffman reiterated his stance following an appearance on national television: “Appreciate @FOXandFriends having me on to discuss Katie Hobbs’ disgusting veto of Arizona’s Charlie Kirk Memorial License Plate Hobbs’ true colors are exposed — rabid partisanship, gross incompetence, petulant political games, and a far-Left extremism that’s destroying our state”.
On March 10, 2026, Hoffman shared another message reflecting on past times: “This hits hard. Times were simpler. Life was better. People were happier.”
Hoffman began serving as a state senator after winning election in 2023 and replacing Nancy K. Barto in Arizona’s 15th Senate District.
