Peoria is offering hands-on training sessions for basic first aid and CPR/AED certification. These sessions aim to equip participants with critical skills to save lives.
On Thursday, June 6, Peoria’s Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a study session to discuss amendments to Peoria’s General Plan. The Planning Department provided a 2024 Major General Plan Amendment Update to the City Council in a May 7 study session. A clip of this update is available on YouTube.
A magic and variety show will be held this Friday, June 7, at Peoria’s two libraries. Michael Steele’s Variety Show features magic tricks, 60 yo-yo tricks with humorous commentary, juggling, and a "Name That Tune" contest on flute, where the winner assists with a special trick. The event is designed to be interactive for attendees of all ages.
Children up to 18 years old can receive free breakfast and lunch this summer through the Peoria Unified School District Free Meal Program. Adults aged 19 and older can purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch for $4. Meals are available Monday through Thursday.
