Managing Your Telehealth Liability Risk on December 8, 2021

Health it

Midwestern University recently issued the following announcement.

About the Webinar presentation:

Physicians, advanced health care professionals, and their practices hurriedly implemented telehealth programs to meet pandemic demands and are now treating patients through a combination of in-person and telemedicine visits. As time and resources become available, physicians and practices can strengthen the quality of their telehealth programs and mitigate medical professional liability risk. To improve quality and mitigate risk, physicians and practices need practical information about scope of practice, informed consent, physical and mental health status examinations, in-office versus virtual appointments, and telediagnostic errors.

Key Objectives:

  • Relate telehealth legislation to your medical professional liability risk (MPL)
  • Recognize MPL risks in your current telehealth program
  • Apply at least one MPL risk management recommendation to your telehealth program.
