Midwestern University Health Careers Institute on July 15 - 23, 2022

Description:

This seven-day event, held in person from 9am-4pm July 15-23rd on the Midwestern University campus, provides 50 current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals, get involved in advanced workshops in anatomy and physiology, and learn introductory, hands- on lab skills for more than 25 health professions. This event also focuses specifically on what to expect from each profession, as well as how to prepare for college. In addition, there will be guest lectures on important medical topics such as Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine, Drug Abuse, Health Care Opportunities, and more. To apply, students must submit an application that includes short essays, grades, and a teacher’s letter by May 1st.
