Debbie Lesko addresses border security delay and reflects on Pearl Harbor

Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, representing Arizona’s 8th district since 2018, shared a series of tweets on December 7, 2024, addressing key issues and historical events.

On the same day, she highlighted legislative inaction regarding border security. "It’s been 584 days since House Republicans passed the strongest border security bill EVER! It has yet to even come up for a vote in the Senate."

Later that day, Congresswoman Lesko discussed the impact of illegal immigration on Arizona communities. "The people of Arizona have watched illegal migrants flood our communities, crime terrorize our streets, and drugs wreak havoc on our friends and loved ones. That’s the reality of the border crisis, and that’s why things need to change to protect our state and country."

In another tweet posted later on December 7, she commemorated Pearl Harbor Day by reflecting on its historical significance. "83 years ago, our nation was under attack, which sparked our involvement in one of the greatest and most devastating wars the world has ever seen. Today, we remember all of those lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor, and we pray for all of those affected by the tragedy."
