The Glendale Family Bike Ride is set to take place on April 6, 2025, in honor of Valley Bike Month. This free event invites participants of all ages and abilities to explore the city's bike paths, bridges, trails, and parks. It aims to promote fitness and alternative transportation methods.

Riders can choose from three routes: Short (7 miles), Long (15 miles), or Extended (23 miles). Snacks and water will be available along the way. Participants are required to wear helmets; old helmets can be transformed into planters at the event in exchange for a new helmet. The first 500 registered attendees will receive a free T-shirt, and all finishers will earn a participation medal.

The ride starts at 8 a.m., with check-in beginning an hour earlier at Sahuaro Ranch Park, located at the corner of 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road. "To provide a FREE way for families and individuals to have fun together while boosting their fitness levels," the event also seeks to offer important bicycle safety information.

Glendale’s Transportation Department organizes this event with help from other city departments and partner organizations. Those interested can register online through the City of Glendale's website.
