With the Glendale City Council having referred measures for the Nov. 3 ballot, local residents are now free to submit arguments for or against those measures to be published in the city’s election day publicity pamphlet.
The pamphlet will be mailed prior to election day to all registered voters, according to a news release from the City of Glendale.
The city council voted to approve five ballot measures to be voted on by city residents on Nov. 3. Voters will be presented with the opportunity to approve or deny a proposed franchise agreement with EPCOR Water Arizona, Inc., as well as four bond questions intended to fund landfill facilities improvement projects, parks and recreation projects, streets projects and flood control projects.
To file an argument to be included in the pamphlet, residents must submit it in a written format of 300 words or fewer prior to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5 and pay a fee of $100.
Submissions are being taken by email, and further information can be found at the City Clerk’s Office Website.
