City of El Mirage issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.

Four electric vehicle (EV) charging stations were recently installed in front of the El Mirage Police Department facility at 12401 W. Cinnabar Ave. and are now available free of charge to the public daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. These Level 2 chargers can be used by any on-road passenger electric vehicle and provide 10 to 20 miles of range per hour plugged in and charging.

The environment-friendly charging stations are part of the “APS Take Charge AZ” pilot program. More: https://www.elmirageaz.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=607
