City of Peoria issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
The Peoria Adaptive Recreation Program, in partnership with Arizona Disabled Sports, will be hosting West Valley Sportsfest on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Rio Vista Recreation Center, located at 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd. This free event will feature adaptive cycling and wheelchair basketball for individuals with physical disabilities and/or visual impairments. Cycling will be 5-6 p.m. and basketball will be 6-7 p.m. Ages five and older are welcome. Sports chairs will be available to participate in both sports. To register, call 623-773-7436.
