The annual donation of the POW-MIA flag

The annual donation of the POW-MIA flag was presented to RCSC General Manager Bill Cook and RCSC Board President Dale Lehrer at Bell Center, next to the Liberty Bell, by the Sun City’s National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Agua Fria Chapter.

September 16, 2022 is National POW/ MIA Recognition Day, which was established in 1979 by the 39th US President James “Jimmy” Carter via presidential proclamation establishing the third Friday of every September to be set aside to remember and honor all missing US Veterans from the various wars.  Flying the US Flag is one way to honor the missing Veterans. 1,556 Vietnam War service members are still missing. Please visit the Agua Fria Chapter website at http://aguafriaarizonadar.weebly.com.

The flag flies below the United States of America flag as a constant reminder of America’s unreturned Veterans, “Who We will Never Forget.”
