UPDATE: Southbound Cotton Lane from Surprise Farms Loop South to Greenway Road has reopened following a closure due to a sinkhole.
Crews have installed a steel road plate over the affected area as a temporary surface for traffic to pass over until permanent repairs can be complete.
To minimize traffic delays, permanent repairs are planned for the week of March 13 while area schools are on Spring Break.

Due to a sinkhole, a section of southbound Cotton Lane is closed just south of the Surprise Farms Loop South intersection and north of Greenway Road.
Barriers are in place to deter traffic. Southbound traffic on Cotton Lane may turn east or west at the intersection of Surprise Farms Loop South as a detour. Traffic heading northbound on Cotton Lane from Greenway Road is unrestricted.
An estimated repair time has not yet been determined.
