The Tucson Fire Department's (TFD) Fire Fleet Management team is being recognized as having one of the Top 100 Best Public Fleets in North America. More than 38,000 public fleets in North America were eligible for the designation, with voting conducted by the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA), and TFD ranked 56th.
The designation is a testament to the hard work that is performed daily by the TFD logistics team to keep its trucks in service to serve the community. This is the fourth consecutive year TFD Fire Fleet Management has been recognized in the 100 Best Fleets awards.
TFD maintains more than 1,000 assets (including fire trucks, ambulances, and various equipment), 150,000 feet of fire hose, and more than 300 small appliances.
The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program recognizes peak-performing public and commercial fleet operations to encourage the ever-increasing levels of performance improvement and innovation within the fleet industry.
