The City of Peoria is gearing up for the 48th Annual Dolly Sanchez Easter Celebration scheduled for Saturday, March 30, at the Peoria Sports Complex. The event promises a morning of fun and entertainment for families, with a range of activities for children of all ages and abilities.
Families are invited to partake in the inclusive experience from 8 am to noon, where kids can enjoy filling their Easter baskets and engaging in spring-inspired activities. The highlight of the event will be Cottontail Lane on the Main Stadium field, where children can collect goodies, giveaways, and candy-filled eggs to enhance their Easter experience.
Notably, the organizers have taken into consideration individuals with food allergies by marking certain items on Cottontail Lane with a teal egg, signifying their safety for consumption. Additionally, there will be a jump rope giveaway to add to the festive spirit.
To cater to hungry attendees, a selection of specialty breakfast food trucks will be available on-site, along with concessions at the sports complex offering snack foods and beverages.
