Peoria is getting ready to host the 48th Annual Dolly Sanchez Easter Celebration this Saturday at the Peoria Sports Complex. The event, scheduled for March 30 from 8 am to noon, promises a morning of fun-filled activities for families.
Children of all ages and abilities are eagerly invited to take a leisurely stroll through Cottontail Lane on the Main Stadium field. Here, they can collect an array of goodies, giveaways, and candy-filled eggs to enhance their Easter baskets. Notably, the event organizers have taken special care to mark certain items with a teal egg, ensuring that those with food allergies can enjoy the treats safely.
In addition to the Easter egg hunt, there will also be a jump rope giveaway, adding an extra element of excitement for the young participants. To cater to the varied tastes of attendees, a selection of specialty breakfast food trucks will be stationed at the venue. Moreover, the sports complex concessions will be open, offering a range of snack foods and beverages for everyone to enjoy.
