Valley Metro has announced the introduction of a new fare system, allowing riders to conveniently purchase fares and use them throughout the transportation system. According to Valley Metro, "riders can purchase fare on their mobile device, or soon through a reloadable fare card, and scan or tap that fare on new fare readers throughout the system."

The organization also revealed that a Fare System Town Hall will be held on Thursday, May 9 from 6 to 8 pm at the Peoria Community Center, located at 8335 W. Jefferson Street.
