The Glendale City Council has appointed Lauren Tolmachoff as Vice Mayor for the remainder of 2024 through 2025. In this role, she will fulfill the duties of the Mayor during any absence.

“I’m honored to be chosen as your new Vice Mayor, and I look forward to continuing to serve alongside Mayor Weiers and the council on behalf of our citizens,” says Vice Mayor Tolmachoff. “I’m proud of all we have accomplished since I was elected to the council and remain committed to improving the lives of our citizens every day.”

Tolmachoff was elected as a councilmember in 2014, representing the Cholla District. She is Glendale’s representative on Valley Metro RPTA's Board of Directors. Additionally, she serves on several committees including the Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Works Committee for the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, and various National League of Cities (NLC) committees.

"Lauren has proven to be a passionate advocate for Glendale citizens throughout her time on the council," said Mayor Jerry Weiers. “I look forward to serving with her in this role.”

Tolmachoff's family has long-standing ties in Glendale, dating back to 1911 when they first arrived. Her professional background includes a career in banking before becoming a Realtor in 2004. She holds several affiliations within real estate organizations and community groups such as being an NAR Realtor Champion and past president of the Glendale Rotary Club.
