Peoria's public pools open for summer season this weekend

The City of Peoria is set to inaugurate the summer swim season this weekend with the opening of its three public pools on Saturday, March 25. The pools include Centennial Pool located at 8081 W. Acoma Drive (79th Ave. & Acoma), Peoria Pool at 8501 W. Cholla St. (83rd Ave. & Cholla), and Sunrise Pool situated at 21321 N. 86th Dr. (83rd Ave. & Lone Cactus Dr.).

Open swim hours for Centennial Pool are from noon to 3 pm from Monday to Friday, and from noon to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Adult lap swim hours are from 7 am to 8:15 am from Monday to Thursday.

Peoria Pool and Sunrise Pool share similar open swim schedules: Monday to Friday - noon to 3 pm & 7:30 to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday - noon to 5 pm.

The fee structure for open swims is as follows: children under two can swim for free, children aged between two and seventeen are charged $3, while adults aged eighteen and above are charged $5.

Season savings options are also available with an individual pass priced at $45 per person, and a family pass costing $150 which includes up to six family members living in the same household.

The summer pool season will conclude on Sunday, August 4. For more information on pool hours, swim lessons, swim and dive teams, facility rentals as well as aquatics training and employment opportunities, interested parties can visit peoriaaz.gov/aquatics.
