The City of Peoria has announced an increase in utility rates effective July 1, 2024. The average residential customer will see their total utility bill rise by approximately 8.4%, translating to an additional $8.36 per month. This includes a $5.46 increase for water and sewer services, based on a 3/4-inch meter with 10,000 gallons of water usage and 8,000 gallons of sewer usage, and a $2.90 increase for garbage and recycling.

Nonresidential customers will experience varying rate increases dependent on factors such as meter size, usage, flow-based EPA charges, container size, and the number of pickups. For detailed information on the new rates, customers can visit www.peoriaaz.gov/customerservice and click on "Utility Rates and Charges" (PDF).

For any inquiries regarding these changes, Customer Service is available at 623-773-7160 or via email at customerservice@peoriaaz.gov from Monday to Thursday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
