Peoria’s Planning Department provided a 2024 Major General Plan Amendments update to the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 6. The meeting can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/RWkEFq4Oswc. City staff are proposing a series of refinements to the text and maps within the General Plan to help Peoria pursue opportunities and strategies aimed at promoting a thriving, balanced, and dynamic economy.
Three more meetings are scheduled to discuss these amendments:
- Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing #1: July 18 at 6 pm - Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W Thunderbird Rd
- Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing #2: August 15 at 6 pm - City Council Chamber, 8401 West Monroe Street
- City Council Hearing: September 17 at 6 pm - City Council Chamber, 8401 West Monroe Street
