The Anthem Community Council (ACC) announced the formation of a new Growth Committee on June 4.
"The committee is charged with providing a set of recommendations to the Council related to the impacts of growth and development in the Anthem area," announced the council. "The committee will work to ensure that as the region grows, Anthem maintains its unique community character, quality of life for residents, and position as a premier development."
The committee will analyze ACC policies and positions regarding neighboring developments and work directly with developers. The council said the committee will be made up of six Anthem residents and three ACC council members, and invited two high school or college students to join the committee as non-voting members.
The first committee meeting will be held this summer and the council said the committee work will conclude by the end of 2024 when the committee's findings are presented to the ACC board.
