Downtown Glendale will soon host Hilton's first LivSmart Studios in Arizona. LivSmart by Hilton is the latest addition to Hilton's portfolio of 24 world-class brands.

The new property aims to provide necessary lodging to support Glendale’s Civic Center for overnight conferences and events, as well as accommodate the millions of annual visitors to Glendale’s downtown seeking modern and comfortable accommodations. It will also serve as a hospitality option for Glendale’s Sports & Entertainment District.

“LivSmart Studios by Hilton is custom designed to provide travelers with a reliable, consistent, and friendly experience at an attainable price point, making it a great hotel accommodation for Downtown Glendale,” said Isaac Lake, brand leader of LivSmart Studios by Hilton. “As we continue to expand the brand’s footprint nationwide, we are excited to introduce LivSmart Studios by Hilton to Glendale and see how it will contribute to the city’s growing economic goals, business efforts, and local community.”

Arizona-based CivicGroup is developing the property. “Hilton sets the standard for hospitality all over the world,” said Chris DeRose, President of CivicGroup. “We are thrilled to be bringing their exceptional new brand to Downtown Glendale. This is a testament to city leadership and their revitalization efforts.”

Glendale City Council approved a ground lease agreement with CivicGroup, LLC for city-owned property at 7120-7128 N. 57th Ave. in downtown Glendale. The site comprises four parcels encompassing approximately 28,000 square feet adjacent to the Glendale Civic Center where the hotel will be developed.

As part of a long-term strategy to redevelop and build a vibrant downtown, Glendale’s City Council approved the Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project, currently under construction. This project represents the largest investment made by the city in this district and aims to support existing businesses while attracting new investments into the city's center.

"We are thrilled that Hilton chose downtown Glendale for their first Arizona LivSmart property," said Daniel Sabillon, Deputy Director of Economic Development at the City of Glendale. "This hotel represents the opportunity and growth we want to see in downtown.”

LivSmart Studios by Hilton offers an inviting hotel experience that allows guests to maintain their daily routines while immersing themselves in the local community. Located strategically in Downtown Glendale, this new property will feature over 90 modern studio apartment-style suites designed as relaxing retreats after exploring local attractions or attending meetings at the nearby Civic Center. Guests will have access to essential amenities such as a fitness center and laundry facility.

Chris Swan, managing partner of BRP, will serve as the project’s architect. BRP has extensive national and local experience designing hotels including Renaissance and Aloft at Westgate.

Construction management will be overseen by Antonia Botero, who has built over 200 branded hotels including the TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
