The city of Glendale is set to welcome the holiday season with its annual event, Glendale Glitters. This tradition, which has been part of the community for over 30 years, will commence with a two-night celebration on November 29-30, 2024.
The Glendale Glitters Kick-Off Event will feature a variety of activities aimed at spreading holiday cheer. A highlight of the event is the tree lighting ceremony scheduled for Friday, November 29, at 5:45 p.m., in front of the Glendale Civic Center located at 5750 W. Glenn Drive. The festivities will run from 5 to 10 p.m. on both nights.
Attendees can enjoy performances by carolers singing holiday songs and explore arts and crafts offered by vendors—ideal for gift shopping. Santa Claus will also make an appearance during the event. The downtown area will be adorned with holiday lights displays and interactive features that visitors can enjoy through January 1.
Mayor Jerry Weiers and members of the City Council are expected to attend alongside other participants such as carolers and vendors. Free parking is available at the downtown parking garage at 5835 W. Palmaire Ave., as well as on surface streets.
This event aims to continue Glendale’s tradition of holiday celebrations while providing a safe and welcoming environment for families to create lasting memories.
